With Canouan Estate Resort & Villas officially open for guest stays, we want to keep you up to date on new arrival protocols. This month we have received additional arrival protocols from the government of St. Vincent and the Grendines for arrivals from the USA:

In light of the uncontrolled nature of the COVID-19 epidemic in the USA and in particular Florida and the significant potential impact on the health system of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Health Services Subcommittee of the National Emergency Committee has recommended that the AA 945 flight from Miami be monitored closely with a view to discontinuation. Going forward all passengers arriving on the AA 945 flight from Miami and those transiting to SVG, having travelled on any commercial flight out of the USA:

1. Must arrive with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result
2. Must arrive with proof of a reservation in a TA/MOHWE approved hotel for five (5) nights.
3. Will be quarantined in a TA/MOHWE approved hotel for five (5) days.
4. Will be tested for COVID-19 before release from the quarantine approved hotel.
5. Will continue quarantine in an approved home/facility for a period of nine (9) to sixteen (16) days for a total of fourteen (14) to (21) days.

Weddings at Canouan Estate Resort & Villas can be an informal affair on one of four picture perfect white sand beaches or on our 18-hole championship golf course, but the most popular venue on property is our Chapel. We are fortunate to have our very own 17^th Century historic chapel, brought over stone by stone from England, perfect for weddings and vow renewals. We have introduced our new wedding package starting at US$2800 excluding taxes and service charge and our vow renewal package starting at US$2000 excluding taxes and service charge. March has arrived and it is now time to think about warmer weather and arranging that summer trip with loved ones, friends or extended family.

This month we have launched our summer promotions, including a special golf incentive and something for the honeymooners.

Perhaps you have always wanted to try your hand at golf, but have not found the time. Now you have no excuse, as we are now offering through the summer months, buy one round of golf get the second round complimentary, perfect for couples or the avid golfer.

If you need to brush-up on your stroke, our Director of Golf Adam Hedges is on hand to provide excellent coaching, private lessons, group clinics and video analysis instruction.

The course at Canouan Estate is a championship Jim Fazio designed 18-hole golf course and is one of the Caribbean’s most exciting and challenging courses, being named as one of the top 10 of “Best Golf Courses”.

The golf promotion is valid for travel June 1 – October 31, 2020 and is available with any suite or villa accommodation booked at Canouan Estate.

SAINT VINCENT RUM PUNCH RECIPE

This punch can be made several days in advance and is perfect for parties/celebrations. Add some green food coloring before serving for your St. Patricks Day festivities!

Ingredients
24oz rum
48oz water
½ cup of sugar
¼ cup of lime juice
1 ½ cup of orange juice
1 1/8 cup of pineapple juice
½ cup of grenadine
¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
Splash of bitters for color

Directions
Mix together all ingredients and splash in a couple of shakes of bitters, then let sit at room temperature for 3 to 4 days.
Serve over ice!
